Swartzrock Implement Company Inc. has been a family-owned business for over 73 years. Opening in 1950 when Gilbert and Margie Swartzrock, along with their son Harold and his wife Darlene, began on Highway 14 in Charles City, Iowa. They originally owned a Shell gas station where they also worked on automobiles, until Harold took on Minneapolis Moline which evolved into Oliver and White Farm.

In 1973, Harold and Darlene moved the business to its current location southeast of Charles City on Highway 218. Adding multiple lines of equipment to help grow the business with the ever-changing farmer. Brands include New Holland, Kuhn-Krause, Hardi, Bush Hog, Brent, Unverferth, REM, EXmark, Vail, Brillion, Rite-Way, Berlon, and most recently Horsch and Lemken.

As time went on, Harold’s son Steve took over and is currently leading the way, alongside his sons Ben and Dan. Steve has been raised in this dealership and began working full time in 1977. Ben and Dan have recently joined the operation.
