The SCH Easy Cut cutter bar is designed to prevent the cutting edges from moving apart which causes poor cutting and guard breakage. This is accomplished with guards that have an angled cutting edge on both the top and the bottom. The knife sections alternate right side up and upside down on the cutter bar. Unlike other systems, there is no upward pressure on the knife so you get top cutting performance. Since the guards have two angled cutting edges they last twice as long as standard guards. The design of the SCH Easy Cut system eliminates the need for hold down clamps, clips, shims and other adjustments. After installation there is nothing to adjust even after many hours of use. With the SCH Pro-Cut knife sections, the entire section is heat-treated, not just the cutting edge. You get a knife section that is a lot stronger, won’t bend and remains straight for top cutting performance.
